A type 1 diabetes diagnosis is a very difficult time, whether you are diagnosed as a baby - or an adult!

We offer free care packages for both Newly Diagnosed Children, and Adults (diagnosed within the last 3 months).

Our care packages are packed carefully and lovingly by our Type 1 Foundation volunteers, to help you or your child feel supported, a sense of normality, and a warm hug during the whirlwind of changes that are the initial stages of T1D diagnosis.

The packs are specifically designed for kids or adults, depending on which you choose. Some things you will find inside include a range of beautiful items to enjoy, some vital educational information, local and national support information and some emergency items for parents or carers whilst in hospital.

To date, we have distributed thousands of care packages to families all around Australia at diagnosis, in hospital or on arrival at home.

You can also sponsor a care package to pass on the support to someone else in need.
