Our Mission

Support  |  Awareness  |  Connection

The Type 1 Foundation aims to support, enhance and empower the lives of children and families living with the incurable type 1 diabetes. We raise awareness by providing multiple support and mentoring programs, information and resources, providing programs and services about type 1 diabetes to individuals, their families and their wider community.

Type 1 Foundation is an organisation that is made up of parents, individuals, advocates, medical practitioners and supporters that provide a village for families living with type 1 diabetes.  We provide ongoing awareness of this condition that is crucial for community understanding, government support, development, and access to the latest technology in managing this disease.

We aim to create a generation of young people with type 1 diabetes who understand, accept and properly manage their condition responsibly.
